Roulette – a chance game. Although it is the king of the casino, there are some small-scale versions that people can enjoy at home. No matter what version you play, the way to win this gambling game is to correctly predict the next number that comes up or the color – red or black – the ball will land on. But just as with any game, you need to understand not only roulette rules, but also roulette etiquette standards.
During Betting
When you first begin a roulette game, you will be told to put your money down on the layout. The dealer will take the money and give you chips in return. When betting, you are limited to the amount of time you can take to make a decision, which is usually 60 seconds between spins. The dealer will announce, “No more bets,” meaning players are not allowed to put any more money down until spin round is complete. After all bets are placed, the dealer will give the wheel a spin
After the Spin
When the ball finally lands in a slot, the dealer will place a number marker on the corresponding slot number located on the table. Once this is done, he or she will remove all losing bets and then pay the winners. After the winners have been paid, the dealer will take the marker off the table. Remember to never touch your maker during the pay-out time; those who do are removed from the casino.
Playing with Others
Whether or not the game is going in your favor, you still need to be nice and respectful to other players and the dealer. Also, be careful as to not knock over other players’ chips. Finally, after about 10 spins, you should hand the dealer a tip; this is the best way to express your appreciation for their service.
